In general, I wouldn’t, but we have one literally only used on road trips that we got after my son turned 2 and we started doing screen time.

Depends. We got an iPad for traveling specifically, cause. A lot of planes don’t have a guaranteed screen for inflight movies anymore lol and in the car he’s still rear facing and can’t see out the window, so like some passive entertainment ain’t bad then, if I was him I’d feel bored and trapped without it too lol We don’t really ever give it to him in our own home tho. And we don’t do any games, we have one app called pokpok I think and it’s age specific and evolves with your childs age progression which is cool

I think moderation is key. Tablets and technology is not the enemy. Just has to be used right

I did end up getting my daughter a tablet for this upcoming Christmas and she will be 2 next week however I will be monitoring her screen time I still want her to engage with her toys and other things outside of just sitting on the tablet all day I don’t want to get to sucked into it because she mainly watches cartoons/movies and educational videos I got her an Amazon fire tablet and placed parental controls on it so anything she does in the future would have to be approved through me on my Amazon account

Not one of their own for sure. I just got one and my daughter has used it once to watch a video of water and landforms lol it definitely won’t be a consistent thing until she’s much older

We just got my almost 3 year old a fire Amazon kids tablet and I think it’s great. You can download tons of learning games, ebooks, etc. just limit the amount of screen time.

We were given one during a mobile phone upgrade. We also have a few in the house. I wouldn’t purposely buy one though.

AS A MOM WITH A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN ID SAY YES ALONG WITH OTHER TOYS AND PROPER MANAGEMENT A TABLET IS GREAT FOR MULTIPLE THINGS INCLUDING LEARNING SOLO LEARNING. ALL KIDS LEARN DIFFERENT

My now 4 year old got a tablet for Christmas when she was 2.5 - used in moderation I see nothing wrong with it. My youngest is 2 now and I don’t think the tablet would benefit her as much as it did my oldest at that age so she’s not getting one yet.

Only educational stuff and limited time. Maybe on special outings or out eating when you need them entertained for a bit.
