Postpartum hair loss

Hey everyone! How are you dealing with hair loss? It’s starting to annoy me - hair everywhere!! 🥲 Do you take anything or apply anything? I am close to cutting my hair short as well but I don’t think that will really fix it. 😂 Thank you!

Following. I'm trying coconut oil treatments a couple of times a week, but may try rosemary oil. I had such good hair when I was pregnant and now it's just everywhere x

I’ve put the expensive shampoo/ conditioner in the cupboard and bought head & shoulders. No point wasting money 😂 Washing it once or twice a week so I don’t cry at the amount that comes out in the shower as often. Then just regularly running my hands or a brush through it , throughout the day. Bonus point for doing it / putting it in the sink in the bathroom and then the husband comes and puts it in the bin for me so I’m less sad about it or handing it too him to go put in bin when he’s home 😬 we’re in this together after all and it comes out in full on clumps 😂 I’ve always had really thick hair so it doesn’t seem as bad over all. But I’ve lost whole patches near my hairline that are slowly starting to grow baby hairs but that stuff is itchy af. Just got to wait it out and hope one day I’ll get some thing like my old hair back.

Second time mum and started using Nioxin hair loss serum and honestly its like magic. First time round loss soo much and had to wear hairband for 6 months because of the bald patches. I started using nioxin 3 months PP and after a week noticed reduction in hair loss and then after 3-4 weeks lots of hair growth (much quicker than first time round)

Rosemary oil mixed with castor oil on the scalp twice a week for 30 mins - 1 hour before showering, argan oil on the ends x

Thank you all! At least I know I am not alone. 🥹❤️

Same here. Loosing my hairline so badly and already have a high hairline! 😭

Thank you for your post and all the comments, I have been really struggling with hairloss the last few weeks and it's now to the point where I have a super thin hairline, and bald patches at my temples and side of the head 😭 it's really gotten me down and I'm genuinely worried that I won't have any hair left by Christmas. I've started nioxin hairloss serum but no idea when I'll notice a difference. it's very scary how fast it has happened. Anyone going through this a second time, when did you notice it stopping and hair growing back?

First time around it started 3 months and stopped around 6 months. My hair was left with bald patches and look awful. I’m 5 months PP now and started using Nioxin 3 months PP and the significant hair loss stopped 4 months PP and right now there is no bald patches and lots of hair growth. Hope it’s the same for you @Lindsey

@Sapna how many weeks postpartum are you? I have started using nioxin two weeks ago, I ordered it as soon as the hair loss was getting really noticeable so hopefully it will stop the hairloss soon. Usually tie my hair up for convenience and to avoid little fingers pulling it but even that if challenging as my bald spots are on full show at the front of my hairline 🙈😬

That happened first time round and ended up wearing hair bands to cover it up. I’m 5 months PP now and I would say you wouldn’t notice the hair loss this time round and even the regrowth is much better condition, not all gross and frazzled looking like first time round. I think it’s to do with Nioxins keeping my scalp really healthy
