Toddler Christmas 🎄 crafts ideas?

I tried making paper chains with my toddler this morning and it ended in confetti and a fight over tape control. 😊 2 yrs old. Any ideas for Christmas crafts with toddlers? Ornaments? I'm thinking of just cutting Christmas shapes and letting her color. 🖍️

We’ve done coloring and painting a wreath using her hand prints but I’m also looking to do more. I thought about painting an ornament or making tiny reindeer on an ornament using her thumb

Handprint / footprint cards? We have done loads and he lives decorating them

Salt dough shapes? Shortbread or cookies?

Cut Christmas tree shapes and can do finger painting with different colours. We used sponges to make snowmen. Or melted snowman pictures

We found and painted pine cones and made ornaments, made paper snowmen and Christmas trees, we have a gingerbread house to decorate. Then I’ll probably do a sensory bin Christmas snow theme but have no idea yet. Then we will probably make snowflakes with paper.

White dough decorations are my favourite! Corn startch, then twice as much baking soda and warm water. Heat in a pan until it forms a dough. Let it cool enough to handle, then roll put and make decorations! Leave to dry

Cut shapes like a tree, present and cut the centre out, layer tissue paper over it. Stain glass window effect. Stick cotton wool onto a drawn out Santa. Stick gems, glitter onto a cut out Xmas tree. Mistletoe’s. (Footprint) Decorating pine cones, paint or glitter Make biscuits with Xmas cutters. Playdough with Xmas cutters. Cut leaf shapes, berry/circles to make a wreath. Or do a nature walk and collect bits to make a real one. Stickers. Xmas cards Make a memory card game, bingo game.

- poking pom-poms into pinecones to make them Christmas trees - get them to paint a sheet of cardboard/box and then cut “Christmas ornament” shapes or of them, then use masking tape to trace out a Christmas tree shape on the floor and let your toddler “decorate the tree” - paint paper to use as wrapping paper

- scratch art, paint your own baubles both on amazon - hobbycraft have some great baubles etc to decorate too - use Christmas stamps and paint to decorate brown paper to use as wrapping paper - cut a triangle/tree out of card and cover it with sticky tape they can then decorate with glitter, sequins, pom poms etc. This one makes great Christmas cards
