Growth scan

Do they only send you for a growth scan if baby increases or decreases in percentile? Since I’ve been getting measurements baby has been 97 percentile and never mentioned a growth scan

I think the guidelines vary between trusts, I was sent for growth scan for being over 90%, scan shown everything was normal (31%). So now when I get measured I still follow the 90% line but I wouldn’t get sent for another unless it jumped up or down. I would just ask your midwife next time you see her. If you’re low risk it may be that they just wait till later in pregnancy to check. Have you had GD test? I think that’s the main thing they would check early if baby did measure big, other wise it would be about how/when you deliver which would be later on.

As above I think it depends I know for our trust if you’re sitting at or below 3rd percentile you’ll be referred and if you have a jump of 2 percentiles between bump measurements

I am measuring above 97 percentile and have my first growth scan Monday at 31 weeks

Thanks ladies, yeah she never mentions it tbh, I haven’t had GD test and she also hasn’t suggested or mentioned that I will be getting it at some point. I am low risk and everything else seems okay, I just wondered if I’m missing something I should be having done but then again I know the fundal measurements are usually a load of rubbish anyways x

Heyy, I have had 2 measurements now and both on 97th percentile. Iv not been sent for growth scans x
