Serious attachment issues and it’s getting too much.

My little girl hates anyone that isn’t me. Including her father and it’s getting too much. Nobody can go near her or hold her except me without her having a complete meltdown. I can’t even leave the room for 2 minutes to use the toilet. My husband is really upset about it and says he doesn’t understand why his daughter hates him and at this point I don’t know what to say anymore. It’s draining for me and I’m very worried what’s going to happen when I have to go back to work in May as this girl seriously gets hysterical. Any advice would be fantastic as we cannot continue like this

I think leaving them slowly is the only way forward, first go outside to the car for 10 mins then drive to the shop for 20 etc and just build up the time. I know it’s horrible for you and the person you’re leaving them with but it has to be done. They do also go through a really clingy stage at this age. I’m lucky my boy has never been this way but I have close friends and family who have and witnessed it first hand x

I have the same issue currently! It came out of nowhere!

I was reading on the pampers website today that from around 7 months they start to become very clingy and it does pass. Xx

Normal I'm afraid! My first was like this then suddenly at about 1.5 years old she realised how fun daddy is. Now I'm the one who is left out :( xx
