Pocket of blood early scan

Today I had what I thought was a 7 week early scan (they said baby measured at just under 6 weeks) and they saw the heartbeat, yolk sac and the baby. But they also also I had a bleed around the sac in my uterus. It was bigger than the fluid I had in their two weeks ago. She seemed to be telling me that this will likely end in a miscarriage or is a threatened miscarriage and if it was her scan she would be concerned and worried. I have come away feeling quite upset and have no idea what to do. I have a 19 month old toddler at home that keeps me busy and run a very busy cafe (my own) at weekends so resting is not a viable option. My toddler is also heavy and sometimes needs carrying. Please can people tell me their experiences of this and the outcome?

No experience of this but I just hope that she is wrong and that everything will be OK for you 🤞🏼🩷

That’s so scary. Hoping it resolves itself and that baby is okay ❤️

Sorry you’re going through this. Was this a private scan or at the EPU? If it was private can you get a referral to the EPU who can help you further.

@Danielle it was at the epu

Did they offer to re-scan you in a few days / week? I would be pushing for another scan to check.

definitely ask them to re scan x

@Danielle they will re scan in two weeks...I just feel now so on edge...like I am just waiting to start bleeding...it's making me so anxious 😔 I'm also dreading the next scan as I don't want more bad news....my last pregnancy ended in an ectopic and meant me losing the baby and one of my tubes

Seems a bit brutal for her to be telling you that she would be concerned or worried. Sending you so much love and healing and hope for better news at rescan 🙏🏽💕

I've not bled yet so keeping my fingers and toes crossed ❤️
