Birthday Party Games

Is it lame to have a couple of games and a Craft at a birthday party? Our girls 1st birthday party is tomorrow and we’re doing an Alice in ONEderland theme; we have “pin the smile on the Cheshire Cat” and a piñata….I was thinking of maybe playing some musical chairs and possibly one other thing. Also thinking of having a craft station. Buying small pots that kids can decorate to either keep as a pot to plant something or we’ll have string to make it into an ornament. Does this all sound super dumb?

Not lame at all. My son’s birthday is going to be small and intimate with only immediate family but I plan on having a couple games to make it fun for the adults lol. It’s a football theme so I’m doing “Pin the football through the goal post” 😂. I also took pictures of my son each month of his first year, all in the same white onesie. The plan is to print out the photos, hang them up in random order, and have everyone guess how old he was in each photo. Whoever gets the most correct wins ☺️

@Alyssa love that!!

So many of our friends have kids, it turned into a huge party. Haha. Oops

That’s awesome! She’ll already have a ton of best friends! ☺️

Not lame at all in my opinion! I did a diy snowglobe station and a diy sticker ornament at my baby's party last weekend, as well as pin the hat on the penguin. I may have a tendency to go overboard with parties, but I feel like that's the fun of a party, right? 😁

Thank you all. We had pin the smile on the cat and never even played. However, make your own ornament was a hit. We even had some adults make some!
