@Parker 又 that's a cute idea!
@Jenna my sons birthday is only a few days after new years so we had my mom & stepdad and brothers meet up with us to do it and then they went to all their parties and we got Chinese and went home (:
@Parker 又 my in laws have this huge party every year and they don't know boundaries so they are always forcing us to go. This year, I told my husband I want it to be just us even though it's going to cause a fight idc because I want just my little family to do something special. It's been a bit of an issue for him to see my side so I need to come up with ways to make it fun for him and my daughter.
Many kids play places near me have kids New Years Eve dance parties and a countdown to 12pm instead of midnight. I let my oldest stay up a bit late and watch some New Year’s Eve coverage but they don’t even try to make it to midnight.
I like cleaning and showering to 'wash off the old year'
Where we are usually there is like a fair/show (rides games petting zoos) in multiple suburbs and then have fireworks at 9pm and 12am.
Last New Year’s Eve we went to a local farm that’s kinda like a petting zoo that puts on a light show! Entry came with a bucket of carrot chips to feed all the animals (:
