I ask because I was anemic for over 12 years and due to this, I had heart palpitations and my heart skips beats. It got worse when I was pregnant and I ended up having an iron infusion and haven’t had a problem since.
Iron levels and hydration would be my first 2 guesses. I have POTS and any time my sodium gets low I get palpitations and skipped beats. Start with electrolyte supplementation and go from there. I’d ask the doctor to check your vitamin and mineral levels, especially iron, magnesium, sodium, and calcium as well as a CBC panel. Even if iron is in the low side of your “normal”, low red blood cell count, low hematocrit levels, and low hemoglobin could indicate that the irons levels are too low for your body. Everyone is different.
Have you had your iron levels checked?
