@Monét because one time she mentioned they can pick the baby up or I can bring her and get a day or two to do things. She was saying one of her sons brought her nephew when he was two days old. I had also complained to the bd that I need help and he said so she can come here. So I haven’t complained again.
Maybe give it a try. You’ll be in your own home and there’s no pressure for her to do anything for you/the baby if you ask
@Monét no they mean me leave the baby in their house
Ahhh. Maybe suggest they come over so you guys get comfortable
@Monét has a great suggestion of suggesting they come over so that you can get comfortable. something else to remember tho is that you don’t owe grandparents anything and they don’t have rights. it’s different if dad asks for baby to stay the night, but grandparents have no rights so you can deny that
@Kaitlyn oh but she def mentioned she would go to court for grandparents visitation rights . Even tho she’s only came once for a few minutes. The other times she said she would come during the week she didn’t follow through.
documenting will be your best friend. she can go to court for visitation rights but they need to have a prior relationship with baby and a few visits nevermind one won’t cut it. also visitation rights won’t necessarily lead to staying the night
The first time you met is when you had the baby? Why do you feel she’ll insist on her spending the night if you don’t know each other?
