Do i have post natal depression?

I’m really just struggling to get out of bed, its such a chore to do even the simplest tasks and im finding it very hard with my one year old, i just feel like im not doing a good enough job constantly and im always overwhelmed. Does anyone on here have pnd and can advise how they get through it?

I took walks and got outside as much as possible

I'm so sorry you're feeling like this. I can absolutely understand where you're coming from. I had it with my first baby. Honestly, what helped me was seeing a therapist who specializes with women going through pnd. Maybe that's something you can look into if you're open to it?

It happened a lot for me too, super high energy some days feeling like I wasn’t enough others. I’m 6m postpartum and it’s still that way sometimes. Family helps a lot. My mom comes to see me sometimes 2x a week, Inviting friends over and more importantly getting out of the house. If your comfortable therapy is great too! Hope you feel better soon 🫶🏼

Speak to your health visitor. They’ll give you a PND questionnaire that you fill out and will indicate whether you have it or not. There should be a perinatal mental health team in your area they will refer you to who will support and guide you through 🖤 there are medications you can take as well that are relatively safe during breastfeeding also.
