Mama it's ok I'm 19 weeks and my bump isn't that big either. As long as you feel fine and your baby is healthy. Everything is fine.
Hi, I measured small by my midwife at 28 weeks and was sent for a growth scan. I was terrified, but it turned out at the scan that our baby girl, who is now 2.5 weeks old, was perfectly OK. The measurement is so dependable on the babies' position, water, bloating, time of day etc. Also, my midwife told me that they have to send you for a growth scan even if the measurements are just slightly off the automated chart prediction. Hope the scan goes OK!
I didn’t have a bump until I was 32 ish weeks pregnant. Had a baby which was just small 😂 he was perfectly healthy in every which way just a bit on the smaller side as me and his dad were both little when we were born x
They did the Doppler and they did a reasurance scan and he was wiggling. Inside of me loads. Friday is a growth scan. I should hear from my midwife today about daily check ins till Friday to reassure me
Bump size is not relevant to baby size
I wouldn’t worry too much- they are often wrong. I think it’s 15% either side. I had to go for multiple growth scans due to measuring small, my baby was 7lb 14 so not small at all
I wouldn’t worry too much. I was sent for an emergency growth scan at 31 weeks after measuring 28 on fundal height which was the same as my 28 week appointment. At the scan, baby measured around 50% on every single scale and was told that baby was perfectly average. The midwife at the hospital reassured us that fundal height is very well known to be inaccurate and outdated.
Don’t worry too much about your bump size. I am 31 weeks and I am still nearly flat. My baby is nearly 4lbs already! Xx
I didn’t get my bump until 8-9 months pregnant but I was in the plus size before I was pregnant
I didn’t show until further on, measured small too and had growth scans. My baby girl was born 8pounds x
Both my bumps were small right up until I gave birth but both were healthy weights
It is so hard to be accurate with measurements and even growth scans can be 20% out. My baby was measured at 7lb 14oz at 39+6 and he was born at 41+5 at 7lb 12oz
So now they’ve told me I was measuring in the 3rd percentile….. growth scans been pushed for tomorrow. I can feel him wiggling around in there xxx
Its very normal to vary 1 or 2 cm more or less than the ‘expected’ because we are all different shapes and sizes and babys position can alter the measurement as well! They will be doing a growth scan just as a precaution- another opportunity to see baby 🥰
