An interactive & imaginative play studio

My husband and I are in the process of looking to open our own indoor children's playground. However, we want to stay away from slides, trampolines, arcades etc. We would like it to be geared more towards smaller children ages 7 and younger. What would you look for or like to see in an indoor play space for your lo?

Slides and trampolines 🤣 Play shops?

Hands-on guided activities exploring art, science, nature, sports, cooking, music, etc.

@🔮Angela🔮 if we’re thinking about the same play shops, the places around me call those playseums like a museum. Idk how it can be called a playground w/o the typical things that OP mentioned they don’t want to have. Hands on activities in my mind is more museum type feel.

I took my kid once and I was so shocked because they just had kids of all ages running rampant till it got dangerous for the little ones because the littlies can't compete with the bigger ones. They were being shoved and jumped on and cut off etc ... I hated it. Haven't been back since. Having an age limit is definitely a big plus for me. Slides and trampolines will be nice so long they aren't geared for older kids !!! If it's a playground then it really needs all thry usual play things but just make them little kid friendly that's all. Like interactive slides that teach and sing etc ..

Water activities. For my son’s birthday we are going to a children’s museum and they have a water feature for babies to about 3/4. This is perfect for my almost one year old who LOVES water.
