I wouldn’t read into it to be honest. This would be a completely normal weight for 36 weeks, but the growth scans are terribly innacurate
I’m 35 + 5 and my baby weight estimates are 6-7lbs right now. But they’ve told me since 23 weeks to prep for a large baby because he’s so long and his feet were huge. His dad is also 6’5
At 28 weeks baby was measuring 2 pounds dr said he was going to be a big baby. I haven’t had another ultrasound yet but I think at my next appointment on Thursday I’ll have one. Don’t let what the drs say scare you because with my first she was estimated to be over 9lbs she came out 6.2 lbs she was tiny.
@Megg was just going to add that ultrasound weights are almost never accurate either!
Mine weighed about 6lbs 7oz around 35 weeks I think…. They said that was about the 61 percentile for size which isn’t much bigger than average. I am worried about bigger size because I have GD, but my doula says the scans can be up to a lb off… that he is a perfectly normal sized baby. We’ll see what he measures next scan…
Last week, my baby was 36+3 and he was estimated at 6lbs, 13oz and at the 69th %ile. So your measurements seem normal!
36 weeks and my girl is measuring 7lb 6oz already
When I was 33 weeks, my little girl was measuring at 4.5 lbs. That sounds normal.
Im 36+4 and my LO is weighing 6pbs 11oz When i was 32 weeks she weighed around 5lbs 10oz so we were definitely thinking she’d be bigger this time around but we’re still on the bigger side
That sounds just about right I think. At 29 weeks my scan showed baby in the 50th percentile a little over 3 pounds. They say baby can grow up to half a pound a week these last 4-5 weeks, so that would probably give you a 7-8 pounds baby which is perfect! Also assuming the scans are correct, they are notoriously off in the third trimester.
