Spa Days without the kids.
Yoga and meditation are what I do. I've noticed that by building it into my day first thing in the morning I feel better throughout
I get my nails done and get massages with or w/o the kids. Something is better than nothing. I take baths every now and then. If my husband is home or my mom is visiting, I’ll try to go out with friends line dancing or something.
I feel the same way at times, so I'm glad I found this post so I can see some ideas of how to prioritize my self care as well. Right now, on my days off, I just do whatever I feel like doing. My daughter's at school and my husband's at work, so I'm literally lying on my couch watching some drama series then going to play on my Xbox
simple skincare in the AM, therapy on a bi-monthly basis, maintaining waxes & nails, going to the gym, reading the bible & books before bed. Remember you were Shakara before a mom. Baby steps, take it slow.
Have a short workout you can fo each day and a short, but nice skincare each evening. Go to bed early once a week.
I do everything in the shower. Brush teeth, wash face, etc. start out small and then work in more things when you can. I say as long as you brush your teeth, change your clothes m and brush your hair daily then you are doing more than you think.
Taking my self for a walk into nature is my self care I try to get out once a month for long walk and once a day on a local street walk or park.walk.near by woth the dog tho ain't been out in two days as my baby boys are poorly so lucky my older kids are .ale sure I eat and drink and dog is walked at moment 🙃
I’m big on this because once upon a time I wasn’t. I had to recondition my relationship to selfishness as not a bad thing. You have one you! But I get my nails done, go for a wax, do my own hair and take a full day, buy myself a meal or treats at least once every couple weeks alone, and I have a host of hobbies, the biggest of which rn is pole dancing. I can’t pour from an empty cup.
Daily healthy food, meditation and hair
I wake up, I take care of myself, then I take care of the toddler and dog My toddler watches me, he brushes his teeth , and I’m doing my hair and make up and brushing my teeth. It’s what I do for myself every morning
Have a routine, my advice would be 1. Have a workout routine (very light as you’re pregnant 2. Have a good balanced diet that suits you 3. Meditate if you can morning and evening 4. Do a skin routine with clay masks and moisturise with natural oils 5.Have dates with friends/family to talk and socialise 6. Read and keep learning on good subjects or stories ❤️
Thank you ladies for all your Amazing answers! 2025 is going to be a great year because I plan on prioritizing myself and my needs!
I try and block out 2 days every week or every other week. To do spa days. Do something I enjoy to do by myself. ☺️ Putting it in my calendar helps me Getting nails and feet done. Reading Crocheting Baking ? Puzzles ? Coloring ? 😊
If I have chance I like to do my nails and a hair mask, it'd not often either of those happen though 😅 xxx
