When does the placenta form I’m 10 weeks and they saw baby and heartbeat but said placenta is not there yet still my yolk sac

Well the placenta starts forming as soon as the baby implants in your uterus but it’s not big enough to be seen on an ultrasound until about 12-14 weeks. SOMETIMES as early as 8-10 but usually not til at least 12 weeks.
