Had one at 10+4 and told my husbands parents / people we knew we’d ask for support from if anything was the happen. The rest then we waited until the “12 week”. Never did the whole Facebook thing.
Ultimately it’s up to you. A lot of people don’t until the 12 week one in the event something become apparent or goes wrong. But personally, for us, we felt we wanted support if anything was to happen so told those closest to us. I’d rather tell people I was pregnant then something happen than they not know I was even pregnant at all and just announcing something bad if that makes sense
We had a private scan 2 Thursdays ago now i should've been 10+3 but measured ahead at 11 weeks exactly so we used that scan to tell people already
I had a scan at 8+1. And we’re going to tell people on Xmas day, I’ll only be 10+1 but I’d want their support if it were to go badly anyway so I think it’s nice news to share x
We told parents before our scan. It was very early but this is our first time and I wanted to be able to talk to mom/MIL about it if needed. As for telling close friends, we just slowly told them as we saw them, but even now, I haven't done an announcement at 24 weeks. Some people will be surprised in April 😂
You’ll know when it feels right 🥰 we waited until about 14/15 weeks to tell family. We wanted the NHS 12 week scan and the blood results back. It’s totally personal preference and there’s no wrong way to do it x
We’ve had a scan at 8 weeks, two days ago, and then told our families and a few close friends. We’ll wait until the 12 or 20 weeks scan before making an announcement to the world.:) Oh and my boss knows it too, probably will have to tell me colleagues soon as I can’t hide the bloating much longer. We’re a small team of 6 though and pretty close.
I had an early private scan at 8 weeks due to not being able to hide it from the in-laws on Xmas day (they know we’ve been trying and me not drinking would have given it away). My 12 week scan isn’t till 13th Jan so if I was telling his family, I wanted to tell mine so I did that a couple of days ago when visiting for xmas. I’ve also told a couple of close friends which has been nice because early pregnancy can be isolating otherwise! X
I’m 10+2 and have a private scan today. They will be able to tell me if it’s healthy, how many etc. From the scan my husband and I are going to go to each of our parents and tell them :) xx
