Am I wrong

Am I wrong for asking my mother to get an RSV test when she was recenly exposed to my niece and nephew who had caught it? She made it seem like it was a big deal me asking her to do so and we have a Christmas event at her house in 3 days. I have a 10 month old and RSV can be dangerous and potentially my daughter could end up in the hospital if she gets it bad. Not to mention my 3 other step kids who are older but can still get sick just not as bad as the baby. I feel my job as a parent is to protect my daughter and keep her safe and healthy. I’m doing what I feel I need to but am I asking too much? I feel it’s just a simple test and as her grandmother she should want to keep her safe and healthy? Am I wrong?

She watches my niece and nephew often as well as my daughter

I feel it's a simple test. It shouldn't be an issue. But if it is I personally would cancel

You're not wrong

Personally I wouldn’t go if she doesn’t get tested.

Definitely not wrong! I would do the same. If she doesn’t want to then I would avoid socializing. It can be hard because I’m sure she would get upset but it’s good to keep your boundaries.
