Soon to be mamas or mamas… did yall take ur nipple piercings out when u found out u were pregnant? Idk I wanna keep mine but I also know I’ll be breast feeding. Did anyone try pumping with nipple piercings

I loved mine. And i kept mine in up until I gave birth. When I was breast-feeding in the hospital, the nurse said that I should take them off
My SIL had to take hers out, I think it’s pretty much necessary for breastfeeding and pumping

@Victoria with how tender my boobs are rn I’m considering taking them out rn. My boobs full so heavy and sometimes it’s uncomfortable sleeping on them
@Bri i will say she was able to get them put back in after and she said it didn't hurt but I didn't ask like if the hole closed or anything. I just assumed since she said they're back that they stayed open but I'm not sure lol

I have friend that had nipple piercings and she did have to remove them to breastfeed. Idk how it would feel pumping but I think the pump would be painful if you kept them in. I exclusively pump and the way it pulls your nipple would probably aggravate the piercing
