@Chloe I don't mind her having milk at night but I feel the morning may be too much as she has milk then an hour later breakfast then 2hrs after that lunch then a 3hr nap then she wakes hungry as she hasn't ate much lunch so I have to give her a snack around 3pm which interferes with her dinner then. I was thinking of giving her breakfast with a drink of milk if she wants it so she has time to get hungry for lunch then she won't be so hungry when she wakes from her nap but she still very much likes her morning milk on the sofa with her blanky 🤦♀️
My LG has been quite poorly on and off the past couple of months so she dropped her nap time bottle by herself when she had a chest infection over Christmas as she could barely breathe and was falling asleep drinking which would cause her to throw up so she just started falling asleep with out it and now she’s had gastroenteritis for the past week and she’s dropped her morning bottle by herself because of stomach issues she had been waking up throwing up and having diarrhoea so obviously didn’t want milk in the morning but now she’s only having 5-6oz a night and I’m worried that’s not enough, she does have milk in her cereal and will ask me to help her drink it and she also has a yogurt with her lunch aswell so she’s getting other sources of dairy
4oz in the morning and 4oz in the evening! He doesn’t ask for it and sometimes he goes without no problem but I think it’s nice to drink something different and it doesn’t disturb his eating habits so I go for it X
My son had 6oz at night, plus a yoghurt every evening and milk in his cereal for breakfast. My son still has his milk in a bottle so that will be the next transition to a cup!
Milk in the evening not morning now as he enjoys his cereal and then also he has a bottle somewhere before bed and in the night out of habit but hopefully that eases up a bit...
Thanks everyone, she has drank less milk since moving on to a cup but we tried this morning just having breakfast and a cup of milk and she was more interested in her breakfast, but yes she has milk in with her breakfast and will have a yoghurt or 2 through the day and cheese then a full cup of warm milk before bed, it's certainly helped her appetite today not having a full cup of milk this morning
My little one has an 8oz bottle of milk before bed and has only just recently started to sleep through and not wake for more in the night (although last night, he woke up really upset asking for more milk for some reason and had another 7oz 🙈). No milk in the morning but has milk on cereal.
None at all! My son just stopped out of the blue just before Christmas and has refused it ever since. I was wondering how on earth we'd ever stop as he fed to sleep but without warning he did it himself 🤣 I worry now though as he's not a massive drinker so I give him a lot of yoghurt and purées to go alongside his water x
