Low Milk Supply

I’m almost 9 months postpartum and I just pumped but I got a little over 1oz, what can I do or take to increase my milk supply?

is this your first time pumping in a while or you been pumping this whole time?

@Tiana I’ve been sick and haven’t pumped in about 3 days

Try the legendairy milk supplements (target or Amazon) and hydrate!!! Body armor and liquid IV helps a lot

@Kyla ok great thank you! I will definitely try those supplements because I’ve been drinking tons of water and body armor

If you’re breastfeeding as well, I would always pump on one side (with a manual, but you can use electric) while nursing on the other. I produced so much more that way.

There's very little evidence that any sort of supplement is at all useful in increasing milk supply. The best way is to feed/pump more often so that your body gets the message that more milk is required

Do you exclusively pump? Or are you feeding directly from the boob?

@Ella I’m feeding her from the boob

She won’t take bottles so I just pump after I feed her and use it for her pancakes or oatmeal in the mornings

@Kyla so at 9 months, you make exactly how much she needs. No extra. You don't have low supply, you have perfect supply. You can use cows milk for mixing with porridge.

You don't need to pump at all ☺️ it's a big hassle
