I decided that I was going to drop one the one I knew that was regular and let that in bed and then dropped the second in the similar way and then the third however of course they do still wake up at the regular time so I followed some advice that someone Gave me which was follower 510 and 15 minute rule for the first five minutes if they are crying, you pick them up and soothe them by cuddles to list up and then you put them down then when they cry again you ate 10 minutes this time pick them up see them put them down again and then thereafter if they cry it’s 15 minutes Every time 15 minutes pick them up with them put them down again. This pretty much worked when he had gone into his own room. I hope this helps, but I do understand everyone’s scenario is completely different
Dropped one feed at a time with my eldest, and introduced other settling methods/habit stacking (rocking, singing, swaying etc), or I didn’t go in to resettle and Dad did instead so boob wasn’t an option, it took longer to resettle him than it would if I’d just fed him, but it was fine, it didn’t take long. You don’t need to sleep train using controlled crying etc to night wean, unless of course you want to. I’ve not started to night wean my youngest yet.
I started by re-settling back to sleep a different way for the first wake of the night, then as the nights went on just doing this for more and more of her wakes until she was going back to sleep without any feeds at night. She is bedsharing with me so it's easy to just give her a cuddle and I can get her immediately on stirring rather than her becoming fully awake/upset. Hope it goes well for you 😊
I was struggling to knock night feeds on the head, went away for 2 night and partner being lazy decided to try water before making a bottle. 2 nights of wake ups to water and she sleeps 12hours a night. I know every child is different but this has worked for 4 other friends so we all now swear by the magic water.
I also need the same tips. I really messed up and my LO is still in the bed with me and nurses on command and sometimes she just nurses for comfort. I AM SO DONE 🙄😭
