Pumping for EBF baby - returning to work

I’m due to restart work in February. Our baby is 9months and has been exclusively boob fed since birth. I am planning on pumping to feed him for the hours at work. I have no idea how much milk I need to have ready each day. I’ll feed him in the morning and when I finish. How much are people pumping for a day?

My older daughter wouldn’t drink it so I pumped for my own comfort and then it got poured down the drain 🫠 This baby I left for the day and she only had 2/3oz I think but she EATS.

I’ve heard similar. I’m back in March so will try to get down to 3 feeds by then, AM, lunch and PM so that I’ll only need to pump once at work. Hoping LG will be on 3 proper meals by then too. Many have said baby wouldn’t take the expressed at nursery but can only try and see what happens. I’ll pump then give that milk to nursery for the day after.

For the first 3/4 months he’ll be at home with his dad, or grandparents. I’m worried about him being hungry 😕 Perhaps like you say it will work itself out. I think I’ll start with 250mls always on the fridge and see how we go.

And make sure he’s on 3 good meals. Thanks for your help!
