Tips on successfully weaning off the boob!

I really want to end my journey with breastfeeding, I have loved every moment but it’s time, especially at night- I neeeeed sleep!! I know my daughter can do without the boob because I returned to work twice a week in October and she attends nursery for those two days and has no milk…and survives! So any tips or strategies are welcome 🙏🏾

No advice but I am wanting to wean. I'm so done with it 🫣🤣 she goes all day without it but when she is around me, she is like a newborn.

I am so glad to hear that I’m not the only one in this situation. I’m planning my wedding which is in 2 months and my wedding dress is not nursing friendly! I don’t know how to stop. I still love it but I know my mental health will thank me when I stop. I just don’t know how!

@Jenny exactly the same with me! I’ve loved every moment but she’s draining me!😩

Hello, so I’ve successfully managed to wean all but the morning feed. That’s my fave feed anyway as she just loves to feed and have a cuddle. Stopped nap feeds first. I started by moving any bedtime related feeds to outside her bedroom. I did these downstairs only for a few weeks. They were before her bath. Then I moved it earlier so maybe 1.5 hour before bedtime. Then I started asking if she wanted that feed or not. Sometimes she said yes, sometimes she said no. Then I stopped asking and only did that feed if she remembered. She stopped remembering last week 😭. But it seems to have really helped her night feeds. If she woke in the night whilst I’ve been attempting this weaning, I would put her on the boob for max 15 seconds. Then whip the dummy in and just cuddled her before putting her back down. The 15 seconds became almost no seconds and she now either sleeps through until 5am+ or she has one wake up where she just has a cuddle. I hope some of this was useful.
