@Janine because you can bring enough to the hospital so baby will for sure have enough food when he or she is in the hospital. You don’t have to do it though.
I’ve heard lightly massaging your boobs beforehand or using a warm compress on them can help a bit with stimulating production. You shouldn’t have to work too hard to get the colostrum out and maybe just a slightly more gentle approach when expressing might help prevent bruising!
warm compress and massaging definitely does help! also make sure you are eating enough protein and staying hydrated! idk if time of day really matters but every time i try to get any in the morning i get drops but at night i usually get around 2-3 mls but i only do it once a day and only for like a minute of each side before i feel sore and give up😅 also consistency is key
