So with my daughter we started potty training at about 20 months she did good for a while but then it just went really bad so I stopped, went back into nappies gave it a break to see if she’ll take the lead. Then 2/3 months later we tried again and she got it and by 2.5 did all wees and poos on the potty. Wore a nappy at night just in case but honestly majority of the time she woke up dry. My son on the other hand is 20 months in a few days and he’s nowhere near ready. I was thinking of starting to try with him just after he turns 2 as well be going into summer by then which will make it a lot easier to be naked etc. a friend of mine has a son same age as my daughter and he only potty trained a year after my daughter. He was about 3.5 just before he started nursery when he potty trained. So they’re all very different and as said above only you will know when the right time is
We've done early potty sitting with my little one since 8 months due to constipation issues, and using a potty/toilet has really helped it, due to the position they are in whilst going! We now get about 98% of poos on the toilet and a good amount of wees. You can start when you want to there really is no right or wrong answer, but I believe uk guidance is to start introducing around 18 months☺️
Haven’t started as yet but the potty has been feature of our toy area so it’s not an alien object 😂 LG sits on it occasionally and is now wanting to sit on without a nappy without me persuading her as she knows what it’s for.
Haven't started yet but she's hiding to poo. The only problem we have is her poo isn't always solid. I've started sitting her on it and she's happy to sit on it for a little bit but haven't been continuous with it. I'm going to wait till it warms up a bit x
Honestly only you will know if your little one is ready We started in October and she's does all her poos in the potty now just trying to tackle all the wees now. We are getting most of them but not all.
