Dentist??

NHS sdvice is to bring baby to a dentist as soon as they have the first milk tooth but it's impossible to find a practice that accepts new NHS patients! Is private the only way to go? Is there any way to track when practices open their waiting lists?

Teething

My baby’s started wanting to chew on everything, drooling more, and being fussy the last couple days. I took a look in her mouth and I see her lateral incisor through her gums. Anyone’s babies have teeth besides the bottom two come in first? Or is this just a coincidence?

Bedtime Struggles

Little man is 7.5 months old and has gone down for bed well for a long time! The last few nights he has screamed and sobbed until he can't breath properly and will only settle for me and not my husband! His top gums are purpley red and look very inflamed but no teeth visible! He is cutting a lateral incisor on the t...

Calpol or not Calpol

Hi, I'm a FTM and my 6months old baby has been soooo fussy for the past few days and I'm not sure why... We are still waiting for his first tooth to come out even though he has been drooling and chewing on everything for months, so possibly teething pain? I don't want to give him unnecessary medication but also I fe...

Toilet training - goes at nursery but not at home

We started at the beginning of feb, straight to knickers, very excited for the potty and big toilet, used sticker charts, lots of praise, chocolate rewards. Lots of accidents as expected but getting better then she just decided she didn’t want to do it and so then came the tantrums. BUT, she will happily go at nurse...

When do you change toothbrushes?

I heard you gotta get a new one when they get sick. Do you keep using the old/current toothbrush? Would that not keep them sick longer?

3 year old not potty trained

Anyone else's 3 year old (3 in a few weeks) not potty trained fully or is it just us? He does the odd wee but has only ever done 1 or 2 poos. He doesn't seem fully ready but also I've got a 6 month old so admittedly I've not been focusing solely on potty training. It's so hard to do it all 😂😭 Anyone else?

Swim nappies

Hi all. My lb is potty trained and having very few accidents. We're going on holiday at the end of May. Do I still put him in swim nappies? He's not done a poo in his pants for weeks/months but I'm not convinced he'll be motivated to get out of the pool if he needs one.

Would you rather your child be toilet trained or know how to read?

My 5 year old relative soils herself everyday, sometimes multiple times a day and their parents don't see it as an issue and they say atleast she can read. I'm baffled by that response but want to know if I'm the awkward one or if other people would be happy with this
