Screaming

So my baby is down with a cold , snotty nose but no fever..a bit less milk all the usual..he started to scream from his sleep and needs a little to settle him back..also very grumpy and cannot sleep..he used to have 2 naps ..all quite long and today we had 1 h ..yesterday the same..I don’t understand why is he screaming..can be teething so bad? we had 8 teeth that never needed nurofen or paracetamol..and i don’t know what is happening..he looks uncomfortable and wondering if i need to take him to urgent care..a bit anxious bcse tomorrow will be the first day when i need to be away from him and will be with my partner , today i was gone 30 min out of the house and was screaming house down until i came back..my heart aches honestly..

Have you checked his throat? This is what my little one sounded like and he had strep throat. He did have a fever but he was also poorly from his mmr jabs so that ramped up the fever

@Taiya oh..i don’t know..he doesn’t let me do anything to him..he won’t open his mouth at all..barely managed today 4 ml of nurofen..i will get him checked

I didn't even consider something like strep throat but we took our boy to the doctors because he was so poorly, unsettled and barely eating and she had a look in his throat and ears and prescribed antibiotics and a throat spray. Plus we alternated between calpol and nurofen (1 of them every 2 hours) to keep him dosed up and a bit happier so you could try using both to get you through the night until you can contact the doctors tomorrow

It can be yes..it's really annoying because it's so hard to tell when they can't tell you what hurts
