I breastfed my whole second pregnancy. Even when my milk supply was almost non-existent, my toddler still wanted to nurse for comfort. I tried to not offer but not deny nursing and he asked for it every single time. It was a little harder during the first trimester due to nipple sensitivity but otherwise wasn't too bad. Now nursing my newborn and toddler with no possibility of weaning in sight. I enjoy it though☺️
@Aulaura I’m due my second in a few weeks and iv breast fed all the way through even though first and second trimester iv barely had any milk. Drs advised not to do so but it’s difficult to say no when my first is only a year old and it took me 3month to get him to latch in the first place because he was 3month premature and in NICU. I plan to keep nursing both together (don’t know how I’m gonna do it) but stopping my first isn’t even an option in my mind not until he’s 2 or stops on his own.
I planned to. Got pregnant when my little girl was 10 months. I wanted to continue and even tandem feed if possible but was warned that they sometimes self wean around 4 months as the milk can change. For us this was completely accurate and she stopped feeding around 14 months. Sad to stop but it was completely natural as one morning she just came for a cuddle rather than latching on. No upset at all so in a way quite glad it happened like it did 😊
