What do we do to relax?

Wanting to get more out of my downtime and wondering what everybody else is doing when they have 5 mins here and there around baby. Getting bored and don’t know what else I could be doing. For example, when baby is sleep feeding for a while, what could I be doing? I either sleep with baby or I end up looking at photos of him or doing admin on my phone and not feeling rested. What else could I be doing? Not a big fan of TV but just getting so bored! Maybe I could listen to a podcast? 🤔 Going to get some new baby classes into the diary but anything else I could be doing when baby is down at home? No more housework too, want to build in more relaxation time! Ideas ideas please 🙏

Paint, read a book, find an old, lost hobby, or learn something new that you have always wanted to do.

Whenever I get 10+ mins (or I assume I'll get that much haha) I'll either decide between A light home workout (usually abs for my split abs) A warm shower / bath if my husbands home incase baby wakes Read a book Listen to audiobook (I often do this whilst pottering around but I know you don't want housework suggestions!)

I love this Q so I'll be really interested to see what other ladies are doing x

Audio books 😁

I've been doing an online course that I can drop in and out of. I've done some DIY , and sometimes do a little in the garden and bring baby outside in her pram

If you join your local library many of them now have apps so you can read on your phone for free

I've decided to make a baby's first year blanket so at the moment my spare time is cutting and crafting that with a podcast on! Also loving Pinterest to create boards for home improvement, toddler rooms, recipes and baby activities ☺️

When baby goes to nap I tend to either play some music, tidy up (in a clean freak 🙄) or I just chill on the sofa play some games on my phone as I try not to use my phone while baby is awake or I paint some pottery and have a nice bubble bath with some face masks. It’s so important for you to have your own down time, helps you feel like you again! X

I love to read when I have the chance. It’s mostly in an evening when the kids are in bed and then it’s heavily dependent on the littlest one actually doing sleeping.. but yeah that’s what I like to do to relax!
