Deep breath! I’ve had 2 caesareans including one 4 weeks ago. They were both amazing. So calm and fast, the staff will put you at ease so quickly cause they do this all day every day. This time my baby was out in 6 mins of starting and in my arms 🩷 Up and walking to the shower on my own easily in a few hours. No pain worse than a rough period. I will have baby 3 the same way xx

I was the same I had my first only (just under) 4 weeks ago and I’m a worry pot. It was so calm and the staff were fantastic. It went very fast and the operating room was full of positivity. I felt very comfortable and as soon as the epidural goes in you feel great anyway 🤣 They are there for anything you need and talk you through the whole process. You will be absolutely fine and are in safe hands. Before you know it you will be back on the ward with your baba. Just think you are in the right place and will get to meet your baby so soon. They got me out of bed about 16 hours after and went to h the toilet etc. ask for more pain relief if you need it, I did and it helped a ton. The midwives are there for anything you need afterwards too. I struggled with walking but just told them and they let me go at my own pace so don’t worry if you aren’t up and on your feet because you aren’t expected to be. Also the toast afterwards is amazing You got this xx

I had an elective on Tuesday with my little boy. The whole team were amazing and put us at ease immediately. The process was probably less than an hour but goes so quickly. The midwife got me out me out of bed about 9 hours after baby had arrived and the catheter came out maybe 4 hours after that. I stayed in hospital for about 28hrs but would suggest you don’t leave until you’re ready, even if that means staying another night. Remember it’s major surgery so be kind to yourself and don’t expect to be back to normal too quickly. Enjoy the slower pace whilst bonding with baby. Keep on top of the regular pain meds as I def felt it when it was time for more. Wishing you a wonderful day meeting your baby. Fingers crossed you have a great experience.

Hey, good luck you will be fine I've had 3 and also had my 3rd on Friday i was rhe same but honestly the staff were so lovely even i was a high risk due to it being My 3rd but they really kept me calm and did such an amazing job just enjoy the experience because it's calm and controlled.you will be fine I came out the next day xx

Good luck! ❤️ my next one is on Wednesday but I had one with my first. Try and distract yourself this morning/ afternoon while you wait for your slot. Chill and watch a movie, take a nap if you can. In the operation itself, what helped me was talking to everyone a lot and not focusing on the fact that I was having an operation. Once you have your baby in your arms, you won’t need any other distractions! Hearing that first cry is the best sound you will ever hear 🥰 Be kind to yourself for recovery. Some days are harder than others, but you will get there. Stay on top of pain meds, get rest and get some movement too. Do a schedule with your partner if you have one on how you’ll be looking after baby, especially at night. For example, for the first few days, he woke up, passed baby to me for feeding, did nappies and winding and back to sleep if not asleep from feeding. All in all I found it a very positive, calm birth and wishing you the same! ❤️
