Usually I'd save it for a day when they're feeling poorly, but otherwise just treat it like a supplement and give it to your baby. It's full of antibodies and good stuff 🙂

Thanks @Emma 🌱 I'm not one normally for use by dates but more wary with this. Don't want to waste it and would love her to get the benefits

I have about 30x1ml syringes and 2 pots with milk I pumped but didn't use. I'm going to either use it for milk baths or use when she's feeling unwell

@Sophie will you keep it beyond the freezing use by dates?

omg thanks for reminding me i completely forgot about them 🤣

I'm sure i read that after 6 months it's just not as nutritionally complete rather than being harmful x

I gave when she had a cold & her first vaccine

get some jewellery made with it as a memory before you get rid of it!

I wouldn't wait past 6 months. Just give it to them whenever, but if they've not had a single sniffle of a cold in the first 6 months of life then I'm very surprised!

@Lizzy probably not tbh. My LG is formula fed (has been since day 7) so I doubt she'll drink it, but I've said any that is from when I pumped after she was born, I'll use the first week of weaning so it's still in date. The colostrum I have will 'expire' sooner as I started collecting at 37 weeks and she didn't arrive until 42 weeks
