It’s really worth talking to the doctors to get some anti sickness tablets, I’ve had Xonvea and Cyclizine and they are amazing and can mean I can function xx
I tried but my GP won't see me until next Monday 😞 feeling very deflated by it.
I feel this. I work from home though, so is making it slightly easier… I’d be signed off if I had to go in. I’ve tried getting the anti-sickness tablets but I can’t get an appointment either 🤯. It’s hopefully for a short amount of time, but you have to put yourself and bub first… ask your work what their policy is around sick leave when pregnant, because I don’t think it works the same way as usual sick leave.
I took 3 weeks of leave that was already booked pre pregnancy and honestly without that I’d have been signed off. Talk to your manager, you need to rest, nausea is so hard to manage otherwise. Hang in there, it’s so frustrating but I’m 12 weeks now and on the other side of it. Anti sickness bands were my only saving grace otherwise I wouldn’t have eaten anything for weeks… I’m hoping it ends for you ASAP!
If you say you cannot keep water or food down and you feel very weak (this is what I did) I had a same day phone call and prescribed meds that day. It was a risk of dehydration! X
I was signed off for 2.5 weeks due to sickness, finally due to go back to work tomorrow now that it’s a lot more manageable! I also told my GP receptionist I was struggling to keep food down and that I’d spoke to the emergency out of hours midwife and they advised I see a GP straight away and luckily they did an on the day phone call then they wanted to see me later too! Keep persistent with them xxx
This is exactly me! I'm 8weeks+4 and am off this week sick as I just can't work. Nausea all day and sick so far in the mornings but keep heaving especially when I stand up. If I'm no better by the end of this week, I'll be calling the doctors to get signed off. I feel guilty too, but I honestly can't concentrate to work.
