Vitamin D

How do we do it? I need a dummy guide 😅 The box says to put it drop by drop on the nipple and let baby suckle. 0.5 ml are like 10-15 drops minimum, latching and then I need to put a finger in her mouth to break the latch and do it again and again... Seems inhumane when she is hungry and just wants to feed normally. My boob gets all oily. Her face gets all oily and milk is spraying in her nose and eyes... 😅 Box says not to put it directly in her mouth but gosh that's so stressful it can't be the normal procedure. Advice?

So we got some and were finding it really difficult..mentioned it to the health visitor who pointed out you can get some where the whole dose is 1 drop 🤣. We immediately found one of those and it's been so much easier since!

Thank you for asking the question, I had the same issue! And thank you Loren, I'll definitely swap for these then!!

With my first i bought the NHS healthy start vitamins (has vit A, C and D) from my health visitor. You need to give them 5 drops but they are really tasty and my little girl very quickly learnt to open her mouth for them haha. They also do ones for mums, tiny tablets with everything you need. Some people are eligible to get them for free, or you can pay for them and they are super affordable compared to ones in shops. Theres a postcode checker somewhere on this link that tells you where stocks them close to you 😀 https://www.healthystart.nhs.uk/getting-vitamins/
