Whole milk?

My daughter recently turned 1 and I’m trying to introduce whole milk but she doesn’t seem interested. I do incorporate yogurt and cheese to her diet that way she gets her calcium but I’m stressing the fact she won’t really drink cows milk😩 I’m still breastfeeding her (trying to stop). Any advice??

No advice, just here in solidarity. My son refused whole/2%/soy/almond/oat &coconut. He still breastfeeds in the morning but we’ve dropped all the other feeds. He just drinks water all day.

When my boy turned 1 I put his milk in the same type of cup as his water but in a different colour and taught him the sign for milk ( this was after trying for about a week with a different cup) It helped by signing milk and just repeat milk over and over and when he took a drink made a big deal about it clapping etc. But don't be too worried about it as they don't technically need milk if they are getting dairy in other forms.

My son refused all types of milk in any different cup. I tried from 12 months until just before he turned 2 when he started asking for it. I just made sure he had yoghurt and cheese every day

If you can pump, try mixing your breastmilk and the milk together. If she isn’t interested in milk but you are supplementing other forms of calcium(dairy) then the milk actually isn’t too important to enforce.

Gotta stop breastfeeding so she switches, my kids switched and still can’t get enough milk at 2.5 and almost 4

He doesn't have to drink whole milk , as long as he gets dairy and appropriate nutrition who cares. But it's best to consult your pediatrician if he lacks something, usually after his first blood work you'll know. But mommy's milk is the best and nothing really can replace it so don't stress it.

I've been breastfeeding exclusively since my baby was born. She is now 13 months and my mom moved in to help wean her off. How we noticed she will drink cows milk is if we warm up the milk. Remember breastmilk is warm like our bodies temperature. I also had to go thru different cups and spouts until I found one that works. Today is the 1st day I didnt breastfeed her and im actually kind of sad but finally get sleep thru the night. She would wake up every 2-3 hours to eat even at 13 months. My mom moved in and broke her habit. I've come to learn babies are smart and pick up on habits. They're not hungry. Just feed them 3 meals and 2 snacks. Really has helped a lot

Milk isn’t a nutritional requirement at this age, she doesn’t need any milk at all now. Yogurt and cheese is perfect
