Suddenly disliking breast feeding

My baby is 3 weeks old and suddenly I'm feeling really horrible when breastfeeding. Like I feel really uncomfortable/weird about it. It just makes me feel strange and I feel a bit sick almost. Anyone else? Had 3 weeks no problem and then all of a sudden. Please tell me it'll stop! It lasts the entire feed and they're often lasting 20 minutes or so and by that point I just really want to stop feeding.

I don't have this so cant help but i come across a breastfeeding post today in a group and googled about it. Google DMER - I don't know if this is how u r feeling but may give u some validation and help xx

Hey, I had DMER with my first, and I persisted for 5 months. I'm hindsight I really wish I'd just combi fed or gone over to formula for the sake of my mental health. This time my LO is 2.5 weeks and I have loved it so far, but I'm started to find the cluster feeding frustrating. We were always going to combi feed with a formula bedtime bottle, but have ended up doing one early evening, and another at 11 ish before going down for the night. It just gives me that physical and mental space to cope. I don't think it is DMER this time, more the logistics of having two, and finding the cluster feeding a lot, but either way definitely prioritise how you feel - it's more important that you are happy, and your baby is happy, regardless of how they are fed ❤️

Combi feed is great but that a personal pref. We have the formula prep machine so it’s super quick so it mean sometimes bottle and sometimes Im breastfeeding. I feel like as soon as we moved to doing a mix it took all the pressure off and actually made me enjoy feeding more. Everyone does it differently/ has different opinions but don’t feel bad if you want to try something else for your mental wellbeing ❤️

The last few feeds I've felt better. My husband said he thought I hadn't had enough water.

I started feeling like this last week and then 3 days later I got my period! Maybe its to do with that? As we are back to normal now, not feeling like that at all
