Hospital bags - how much is too much?!

Hey, so I have packed a small gym bag and one of the really small cabin suitcases for hospital. Mostly because my hoody and towel takes up half the bag 🤦🏼‍♀️ Are two bags too much to take in? I’ve seen some people only take one small bag and I just don’t know how. Especially with adult size nappies that are just HUGE!! These are my bags. One on the left is gym bag size and the suitcase is smaller than a normal cabin sized one. Am I being too paranoid?

I have two bags exactly like this as well plus the baby nappy bag. Tried not to over pack but rather have more than less and be relying on people to bring things back and forth for us 😄

@Becca thank you 🙏 xx

I’ve got a large suitcase packed 😂 only because I just wanted the one bag and it’s literally got all of mine, babies and a few bits for my husband in there! Took one last time as well 😊

I’ve packed a large duffle bag for me, baby and a few bits for hubby x

I’m taking a large suitcase so I wouldn’t worry 😂

I'm taking a small cabin bag and gym bag just for myself, bag for baby and a small cabin bag for my partner. I've always been an over packer and I would rather have far too much than not enough and worry I haven't got something x

I wouldn’t worry! I have a carry on suitcase for me and a weekend type bag for the baby. My boyfriend will be bringing a backpack with snacks, drinks, iPad and chargers etc. I’ll be bringing my pillow as well as hospital pillows are rubbish

I don’t think that’s too much at all. I have two bags. Do you definitely need a towel? My midwife told me last week not to bother as they provide, but it might vary by trust x

This looks very good imo!

I have a small cabin sized suit case, and two large shoulder bags one for me and one for baby. The case is also mines. I’m the same it’s the clothes and dressing gown that’s taking up all the room in my bags 😂

I had one in the room and a spare in the car x

@Kathy I’m hoping for a water birth and apparently their towels are teeny! So been advised to take one with me x

I’ve got a suitcase x

I've got a small gym bag and a small suitcase

Some will take more than you and some will take less and both are ok don’t worry or overthink it!! Some of us like to not need a single thing and overthink every single scenario. Others just want to go hospital, pop that baby out, be back home and get on with life, and if they find they’re missing something, they can ask hospital or partner or friend to drop off. Yk? But that definitely looks like what I would take size-wise 😊 x

I’m also taking my own pillow AND a nursing pillow 😂 I’m having a c section and every bit of comfort matters to me because moving an inch hurts sometimes and their pillows are terrible!

I have two luggage (cabin size) one for baby and one for me. Plus a backpack so I don’t think so it is too much 😅😂
