Venlafaxine (effexor) withdrawal

Has anyone come off of this and had shortness of breath as a symptom? I was on a half dose first for several weeks to taper off and now I'm completely off. This is my third day. I've been really dizzy which I know is a symptom but I feel like I'm having slight trouble breathing with no other explanation for it. It's mostly when I'm laying down and/or trying to fall asleep. It's like I feel the air going in and out but it doesn't feel like enough oxygen? I don't really have the words to explain it adequately. But I don't like it 😂. I've been trying to get off all my antidepressants. This is the last one and I'm not on any other medications.

Effexor withdrawals suck SO BAD. I had that shortness of breath, "brain zaps," and was disgustingly sweaty for much longer than I would have liked after I stopped taking it. I was on a pretty high dosage, but I had withdrawal symptoms for almost 7 weeks before the last of them finally went away.

@Taylor oh man. Seven weeks is crazy. I read about the brain zaps but don't think I have had anything like that yet. Ever since I had kids I feel like I am disgustingly sweaty so I probably wouldn't even notice that 😅. Thank you for sharing 😊

Venlaxfaine withdrawal was the worst withdrawal from any antidepressants I’ve been on 🙈 I had the shortness of breath, brain zaps (they were what got me the most) dizziness, sweating and then freezing cold, headaches and nausea. I honestly contemplated going to a&e because I thought I was dying 😅😂 though I didn’t taper off, I had a moment and stopped cold turkey so that probably didn’t help 🙈 The worst was out the way in about 2-3 weeks but I did feel rubbish for a while after that.
