Breast pump?

Hello! 30 weeks pregnant over here and looking forward to breastfeed once baby arrives. I am browsing through breast pumps since most are covered by insurance but too many options are overwhelming. What did you guys get (or planning to get) and for those who have previous experience with them, what do you guys recommend? Thanks!

I got two through my insurance. The momcozy M5 and the Elvie double. I wanted one wearable one and one hospital grade one. I’m 32 weeks so I haven’t tried them yet lol but i sanitized them and they seem nice lol

I would recommend you get a hospital grade pump to stablish supply like a spectra or madela avoid any pump thats handsfree like mom cozy i currently have both. Make sure u ask your hospital to provide you with a breast pump while you there so u can get colostrum and get things moving at the hospital also ask for help if it hurts ect. Hospitals usually have a lactation consultant that helps you. After your supply is established then if you want something hands free then go ahead for the mom cozy my lactation consultant said wait 12 weeks before using those hands free ones because the only ones that increase your supply is spectra or madela which are medical grade

@Allie just make sure to use hospital grade prior the momcozy one i was adviced to use hospital grade for 12 weeks before using handsfree

Did 1-2hrs of research, came to same conclusion Getting the free Spectra to start for sure & maybe elvie stride with later on once we get in a groove

33 weeks here as a FTM and I order the Spectra w/ battery backup for hospital grade double electric pump and was able to get a discount on a wearable option, choose the MomCozy M5. Lactation consult not for another 3 weeks so will review then but also have an option to purchase someone’s Willow Go Set that wasn’t able to breastfeed so may get that as well.

Spectra S2

I got the eufy s1 and spectra 1

My hospital provides the Spectra S2 to use during the stay after delivery so I got the S1 for home use so as not to be tethered to the wall. I got it through aeroflow - it was covered by insurance (and also came with 300 bags also covered along with a free virtual class on breastfeeding) and the pump came within a week! Like everyone else, I heard a hospital grade was a must. Not sure what I’ll get as a secondary- but wanted to use the Spectra until I know breastfeeding is working!

I got the Momcozy M5 through insurance
