I’d try to find someone, preferably a family member or if I’m lucky my husband is off that particular day, but if I can’t, I or my husband just take off.
I work from home and my husband works on a hybrid schedule. If the daycare/school is closed, he stays to work from home that day and we just split the day between 2 of us, thus, none of us has to take off from work. Usually it works out pretty well.
I cannot afford to take off. I’m fortunate my grandmother no longer works and can babysit him
if youre able to 'imagine' yourself in another person's shoes I'm sure you'd find a solution
My family members will watch them. Or if I know ahead of time there's no school, I plan to work closing shifts so my fiance is home from work
I've always had jobs where if I NEED to, I can bring my kids
Either my husband or me will take off work. Plan B would be a sitter, our main babysitter is a high school student so she could usually help if school is closed and she is more affordable than a professional nanny but otherwise we also pay for a nanny service that has an app where we can easily sign up for a nanny at any time
It's our first proper year doing it but for us it'll be a mix of annual leave, holiday clubs and family.
I either take A/L or family has him x
My daughter hasn't started school yet, but if nursery is closed (like over Christmas) I take annual leave, won't be able to do it for all the school weeks though.
I’m a teacher, if my children’s school was closed during term time and I was unable to find anyone to take them then I would ask my school if I could bring the children in for the day and give them things to occupy them. The alternative would be to leave thirty children without a teacher for the day.
Some jobs offer termtime only contracts so it’s worth checking if this is available and if this works out as a viable option financially over paying for childcare during the school holidays.
I work full time shifts as I'm a nurse. Kids at nursery 3 days a week I work round them. School holidays I either book off or family help out. Going to have to change in Sept when little boy goes to school xx
I can’t miss work my family will watch them mostly my gma
