@Steffani thanks. How many times a day did you do it? Like once a day or every few hours?? I told my pediatrician and she said she might send us to see a PT but I want to try and get a head start now
I saw something that says it’s typical for them to turn to the right. My girl does it too
It might be tortícolis ! My lactation consultant pointed it out. There are exercises for it but I also recommend bringing it up to your pediatrician. They might be able tor free them to physical therapy. I plan on asking him this week.
Just saw your comment about bringing it up to your pediatrician. I plan on doing the same.
My lactation consultant said to make sure when you do diaper changes you set baby up to be facing so they have to look to their non-preferred direction to see you during the change. That what you know they’ll get practice several times per day.
Yes, mine has a preference. My first baby did, too. He grew out of it and I expect she will do the same. Continue to encourage turning the other way, gently stretching ear to shoulder and chin to shoulder on both sides but more on the unfavored side. I did it like 3x on the unfavored for ever 1x on the preferred side.
