Periods

Hi, I’m currently 3 months postpartum and have just started my period again after a week or so with mild cramping, I exclusively breast feed, I thought I was going to get a lot longer without periods 😅 anyone else had this? And is there reasons why?

I got mine back after 2&1/2 months 😭 my dr said apparently it can just happen to some people!

Our bodies in particular are like okay let's make more!!!!! 🎉🎉

😆😆😆

i exclusively breastfed my daughter till she was 3 weeks old then 4 weeks pp i got my period 🥴 never thought it could happen that early

It's hormonal. It has zero to do with the frequency of feeding. With my first, my period returned 2 weeks before she turned 2. I am currently nursing my 20 month old and thought my period returned at 18 months PP, but nope. Everyone is different. Breastfeeding isn't one size fits all. Just like all women won't lose weight.

I got mine back at 6 weeks with my first and continued to BF until she was 17 months. With my second, it came back after 10 weeks and we're still going strong!
