It wasn’t too bad, they gave me gas and air. It was fairly quick process xx

Not bad. I barely noticed it with my first and it wouldn’t stay put with my second. Everyone will have a different experience but I went in to my first terrified because I’d only heard horror stories. I’m learning bad experiences are the exception not the rule with inductions

I to this day believe mine wasn’t in correctly, it felt like when you try to use a tampon towards the end of the flow, just really uncomfortable! It also gave me constant cramping for 45 minutes and then did nothing for 24 hours 🤣

What is this? It’s the first time I’ve heard of it? I’m due my second in a month and really just want it to be a quick process..

It’s a form of induction where they insert a balloon into your cervix, and slowly fill it up with water to dilate you to a point they can manually pop your waters and induce labour. Luckily I gave birth naturally yesterday so I don’t have to worry about it now xx

@Ceri Wow congrats babe hope you and baby are doing well! I actually feel really silly asking can’t believe I had never heard of this before?

@Sayra I don’t think all hospitals offer it for some reason! My first baby was born in a different hospital and they only offer the gel pessary. My cousin is a midwife and she had never heard of a balloon induction either, she said they don’t offer it in wales 🤷‍♀️

@Ceri it’s crazy to think some hospitals offer some services while others don’t! 😒 I’m in Dubai right now and I asked a couple of hospitals that are covered under my insurance if they offer water birth and they all said no I couldn’t believe it?!
