Sleeping without milk

Does anyone else have a good sleeper, sleeps through night at 6 months ( been doing it since 3/4) and has fairly regular naps. However the only way I can get her to sleep is milk. Anyone got any suggestions? Now weaning and moving towards food not milk , need another way.

My girl is breastfed and we did: rock to sleep, then rock but not completely asleep and put in crib, now put awake in crib… she falls asleep for night more or less… for naps still at rock to sleep…

@Maria that gives us hope as we are trying something similar! May I ask how long it took for your baby to go from still being rocked gently but placed down in cot whilst drowsy and were there lots of tears? Thank you!

I would say the hardest was actually the first step: moving from feed to sleep to rock to sleep, and there were tears; from rock to sleep to put drowsy we went in about 2 days, and last 2 nights I put her in bed awake and just stand next to the crib (mainly because she rolls and can get frustrated that she is on tummy, so I roll her back)
