Weird habit

Does anyone else’s baby suddenly love having their face pressed right against something to go to sleep? My baby suddenly presses his face right against my clothing, his own hand or the side of the next to me crib to get to sleep. He’s started eating his own hand and I think sometimes he’s looking for that but even when he’s lay down on his play mat if he gets tired he pushes his face against the side or bottom of it and I know he’s tired. It’s like it soothes him but it panics me that he can’t breathe. Obviously I place him in the next to me in the middle but he just wriggles over bless him.

Yep! He likes the dark and I agree that it soothes him. Looks bad though - it often looks like he’s been put in the corner to “think about what’s he’s done” 😂 cries blue murder if you try to move him though

Doesn't matter where I place out little boy in the next to me (in sleeping bag) he ends up in the same corner face pressed against the side.

Mine likes to pin my hand to her face, ever since she realised she has hands last week lol

Well I’m glad it’s not just my little boy 😂 These babies really do test us and our anxiety levels don’t they x

Yes! When my little one falls asleep in my arms he snuffles himself head first really deep into my elbow too and I worry he won’t be able to breathe but he’s been ok so far, I think they just like being snuggly!
