I was in for 5 days waiting to be induced due to quick births but they kept saying they were ‘too busy’… I was only waiting for my waters to be broken, ended up going into spontaneous labour. Will never ever birth at RD&E again. They didn’t believe I was pushing and decided to examine me while I was screaming in pain, told me I was ‘only 3cm’ and considering they practically held me hostage there for 5 days because my last 2 births were 20 minutes and 5 minutes, and I’d be ‘putting my baby in danger’ if I went home and birthed outside of hospital.. it was bizarre they then questioned me when it wasn’t my first rodeo giving birth. Refused to let me use a pool room because they ‘weren’t clean’ but also hadn’t been used the whole time I was there LOL. Anyway, baby came out approx 20 minutes after I told them I was in labour and they didn’t believe me, again lol. Absolutely shit show 😂 (this was in NOV)
I had an induction, though it was last Dec 2023. I had a room on the postnatal ward where triage is. My partner was able to stay through the night but decided to go home as I was fine and it was an uncomfortable chair to sleep in. I went in Sun and was ready by early Mon morning but due to them being busy had to wait until Tues afternoon to go to the labour ward to have my baby. I hope all goes well with you and its not too busy there. Feel free to ask any questions :) x
im pretty sure it’s just 24/7 once you have been transferred to labour ward, when you are in the ward being induced nobody could stay overnight and then post ward nobody could stay overnight either so just have visitors in the allocated visiting times , that’s what happened with me when I got induced in exeter in November xxx
I had an induction in October. My partner could only stay during visiting hours until I was on the labour ward. I was on a shared ward with other people until it was time to have my waters broken
Hi Naomi, I had an induction in Oct in RD&E, happy for you to message!
