Take your hospital bag xx

@Lettitia Ingham i’ll definitely be taking that aha :) xx

Well I would say take a couple more outfits. I packed for labour I didn't pack for induction so to say. I came in with the clothes I had one.. I already changed into another.. And my other outfit is meant to be for going home in! Lol but it can be a lengthy process! Defo take comfy, light clothes it's warm in the hosptial. Extra knickers and bra than you already have just incase.. Make sure you have the normal things, soap etc. Books or something to do while you are here. I've been here for 2 days and I'm going out my mind 😂😂xx So apparently they usually use the pessary first with everyone and it's rare it sends people into labour, and it drops out with most people, which happened with me! You have to wait 24 hours after it's put in to know if it's done anything unless you are lucky and get contractions beforehand. Xx

@Khadiijah thank you i’d rather be over prepared than under so it gives me some time to go through all my bits again and i can pack some more 🤣 i’ve only prepared my bag for labour so i know that i’ll definitely need more clothes and bits like that, i hope it all goes well for you lovely xx thank you for letting me know im a little nervous as i know it won’t start straightaway im just exited to finally have my little one here, like the midwife has explained it but it’s nice to know from other people what to expect or what sort of experiences they’ve had xxx

Yeah I was a little upset at first because I thought it was more common for the first thing to work which apparently it's not. Obviously it's a shame they didn't know the pessary dropped until after the time finsihed, but it's the first stage and most people get on well with the gel afterwards. I know they also offer a balloon thing and something else to try open the cervix but I'm not sure why I wasn't offered and someone else near me was. Maybe it's to do with pregnancy history etc? I wouldn't worry though, they do try and talk you through it as much as they can and do regular check ups.. You could also bring your own snacks or if you want something for the fridge you can also. They let you go out anytime you want for walk etc too, which I didn't know at first. You just have to make sure you don't have any checks coming up first. And yeah defo bring more if you can 😂 hopefully you won't be here for so long, around 4 women have come after me and gone before me xx

@Khadiijah i can imagine i know id be upset too and hoped everything else goes smoothly for you, thank you for letting me know i think id just be sat there like a lost puppy 🤣 would be nice to go on a little walk if i can but ill 100% over pack just to be on the safe side of things. honestly its crazy that 4 other women have been in after you but yet come out before! xx

I would say plenty of snacks, a good book, maybe some sort of device to watch tv on. Basically plenty of things to keep you entertained as it can be a lot of sitting around and waiting.

I was induced today also started with the ballon but is not favorable because my cervix is way close so they try the next option which is pessary, they inserted the pessary since morning but I ain’t feeling any pain that serious just a little mind period cramp but not too serious at all, but they said it might get intense very soon so hopefully the pessary does the work before 24hrs they check if my cervix has dilated, because heard if is not dilated they will insert another pessary and wait again for another 24hrs which I hope for fast and swift labor, the joy of seeing your bundle of joy keep me going that I can do it.

I would definitely pack extra clothes and a blanket and pillow for you and your partner as I got induced and I was in labour for 4 days x
