Self soothing out the window!

Does anyone rock their toddler to sleep? My son is 16 months old and I’m not sure if he’s going through a regression but I have to rock him to sleep! Now that he’s a toddler he’s much heavier I feel like my arm is going to fall off! Any tips?

I do hold my little boy whilst he falls asleep, but if he wakes in the night or early hours, he is able to self sooth and get himself back to sleep. In an ideal world, I'd put him to bed awake, but I'm not going to lie, i really enjoy the cuddles now that he's constantly on the move, haha

15 months but we still rock to sleep if breastfeeding doesn’t do the job x

We’re in the same boat.. I rock my little boy to sleep because that’s the only way he will sleep because he fidgets alot. Sometimes I wonder if I’ve broken him into a bad habit but most of the time I just enjoy the cuddles with a numb arm 😂..

We’re rocking to sleep, I used to feel bad about it but I love the cuddles and know it wont be forever as she’ll be too heavy at some point!

Everyone is making me feel like I should embrace it lol so I’ll try be positive about it! I just can’t help but hear parents who say they just put their toddler in bed and they fall asleep I’m thinking HOW?!

We cuddle our lo to sleep, no more rocking she’s too heavy! Happy to share how we transitioned her from rocking if anyone would like. INow we just lay her down kiss her head, put on the white noise, turn off the light and she’s asleep in minutes ❤️

I don’t rock him, but my little boy sits on my lap to fall asleep and then I carry him up and put him down in his cot. I find that he will just scream otherwise and bed time is a nightmare. I also enjoy the cuddle time now he’s Mr independent and running circles around me!
