Honestly I found nothing helped other than time. I was taking pregnacare and my hair was still falling out so much but now it’s pretty much gone back to how it was pre-pregnancy so just wait it out. I know it’s horrible seeing all your hair falling out but there’s nothing you can do and I feel all these products out there are just a way to take advantage of new mums x
My hair has stopped shedding now, but I read it’s normal at the three month mark. To preface, I lost my mom two months prior to the hair loss phase so needless to say, I was stressed. I just braided my hair down and stopped looking at it (yes even in the braids I could see it falling out). It was probably a little over a month before I took the braids out. The shedding had stopped, new hair had grown in and all was well. If you don’t do braids put on a wig or something and just forget about it. It worked for me. Plus a thin spot I had for years finally grew back in after years of trying to regrow those follicles so it all worked out for me
Biggest effect on this. But essential oils / serums and massaging techniques etc all help!! - Consider getting mesotherapy or research other procedures which will help with strengthening the follicles of the hairs you have left and also stop the hair fall which are both the first steps to recovering the thickness to your hair and eventually the length with regular trims. - Speaking of regular trims, I find regular same length blunt edged hair cuts give the perception of thicker hair. Avoid layers! Good luck I know how distressing this can be ♥️
The one thing that helped me was my postnatal vitamins from Anya
I just wait it out. Chopped off my hair for a refreshing short ‘do. After my first baby, my hair grew back fine.
Sometimes it’s nothing wrong w you but who you’re surrounded by. Toxic fam, Toxic in-laws, Toxic friends or a Toxic partner.😟& If that’s the case here, better 2 cut ppl off than 4 there to be a bigger issue.🥹🫶🏼💓
I’ve heard great feedback about the Kérastase Fortifiant Hair Serum from postpartum moms, who say it helps with hair loss. I’m planning to get it once it’s back in stock at Sephora or on the Kérastase website.
3-5.5 months I lost loads, but it’s all grown back 🙂
Maybe check with doctors if you have an iron deficiency as that can cause hair loss too?
Coming from someone who’s dealt with this with extreme and rapid weight loss on a ketogenic diet one time and postpartum a second time and also I’ve always been a huge shedder: - Eat a balanced diet and I am fullyyyyyyy aware of how ridiculous that sounds to most mums - Take your vitamins religiously and don’t expect to see results before 3 - 6 months of consistent consumption - Understand that the hair that’s falling - was already going to fall, no matter what changes you implement today, due to the phase it’s entered in its growth cycle - Drink. Lots. Of. Water. Not a must but a “bougie” well loved water bottle helps encourage a lot of people. - Be patient and kind to yourself and know it will eventually stop even if it feels like you have lost half your hair which I pretty much did the one time in particular and mostly recovered - Take care of the hair you do have left - research oils and serums to strengthen the follicles. Again what you consume internally will have the
