Changing Pad

I got the skip hop to put onto my dresser. It’s way easier to have one. IMO I’m having twins too so it’s a need.

I made a changing station on my dresser, but i just put a thick towel..works fine.

I got a changing pad scale. Honestly it’s been comforting having it to track weight over time - makes me less anxious! I definitely use it for multiple diaper changes a day and weigh her maybe every other day or so. You will get some messy scenarios, so it’s nice not to have to change baby on the bed every time!

I have a changing table and at first when we lived in a one level home I loved it and used it all the time. Now that we live in a two story home I rarely use it bc I don’t want to walk all the way upstairs to change her 😅

No they aren’t necessarily. I think if you have one for the living room like a folding one or for your diaper bag I think that’ll be fine

I don’t even think you’ll need one later. The only thing that could be nice is just having an actual area to change them on a dresser

I was given one with my first but quickly stopped using it. I change diapers on the floor or the bed.

I use a foam changing pad without a cover and place on the floor or bed. Its been a lifesaver for unexpected pees or poos on the fly. Easy to clean.

If you’ve ever had any type of back issues you need a changing pad because you’ll be very thankful to have something at that height!

I have the skip hop on a dresser and love it! We use it EVERY change! However it really comes down to preference and lifestyle. My sister never once used her changing table and used the couch or bed. However for me I need the changing pad and dresser. It’s easier to clean and is nice to have everything you need in once designated spot.

I got a changing mat for my changing table. It's been very useful. Super easy to clean when babies had a blow out

Nah it’s not “necessary” tbh a lot of things that people buy before baby is born isn’t technically necessary I had a changing table with my first. Waste of money for me. I got rid of it. I just change the baby on the floor or bed.

I always thought having a changing pad was stupid because why not just change your baby anywhere. Then I had a c-section and that thing saved me, I couldn't bend down so changing on a bed or something was out of the picture

i thought i would absolutely need a changing table & pad. turns out the bed works just fine! i rarely use the changing pad & table but aesthetically its super cute lol

you only need one if you wanna go out with baby

Honestly I didn't need anything of that ... Just buy puppy pads and I changed my kids on the bed or couch

I just bought a $20 changing pad from Walmart and put it on his dresser. It's great for my husband who has back issues.

My mom taught me to change my babies on my lap, that’s the easiest for me and I have the most control that way, can still nurse as a distraction when they’re a little older. But do whatever works best for you 🤗

I didn’t have a changing table, it’s not really necessary tbh. For the first year with my kids I used an ottoman from a couch that we got rid of. I just put a sheet over it and a bed pad. It was the most helpful thing lol. The only time I’ve ever needed a changing pad was when we went out to the mall or something.

I bought a second-hand mamas and papas changing table with drawers from facebook marketplace, cost 20 quid, and a £7 changing mat from boots. I use it most times i change him . Floor hurts my back, and if you're using your bed, you're going to be getting wee and poo on it. Plus, it was a lifesaver after an unexpected c section. the bed and floor would have been impossible at first.

I use my changing table every single time. The amount of times he’s peed on the table makes me glad it wasn’t on the floor or on my bed.

I use it for poopy diapers because I don’t want it on my bed 😂 that’s about as useful as they get

I got a dresser and a second hand keekaroo, not sure how necessary it is as baby isn’t here yet, but when I found a keekaroo for cheap I jumped on it!

I have a pack n play also just without the other stuff that comes with it for my second baby. Never used a changing pad for my first either.

We had a changing station in his room and used it every change. So unhygienic to do on bed etc, and my husband was very protective of our son’s privacy in front of others.
